Letter Carriers' Food Drive

Saturday, May 11th 2013

We need your help with 2 different volunteer jobs.

1. Loading Dock Volunteer

Shifts for the docks are:
12:00pm-3:00pm
and/or 3:00pm-6pm

Volunteers will be needed to receive food drive being dropped off at the loading docks by the Postal Carriers and to sort and then load the food into large cardboard boxes (gaylords) that will then be transported (by Foodbank drivers) to our main warehouse for distribution beginning the next Monday.

Please be at your scheduled loading dock promptly at the beginning of your shift.




2. Drive Route Volunteer

Shifts for the drive routes are:
9:00am-12:00pm
and/or 1:00pm-4pm

Volunteers on both shifts will need to meet the Mail Carrier at your assigned Post Office promptly at the beginning of your shift.

Volunteers will follow the mail carrier to the beginning of their route, park their vehicle(s)  then walk up and down the designated streets collecting the bags of food and take them back to the carrier’s truck.

If you worked the 2012 food drive, we would like for you to please consider working the same shift and location again this year.

Volunteers must be at least 14 years old at all locations.
