Lend a CAN Food Drive


This fall, Del Monte and Shop 'n Save teamed up with local area schools to help those less fortunate in our community.  Thank you to everyone that collected Del Monte canned food and Del Monte Pet Food products.


Thank you to everyone that encouraged students, employees and classmates to donate to those in need!





The school that collected the most donations during the Lend A Can food drive was Queen of All Saints School.  Through their creative efforts they collected a total of 2,205 pounds of food! They will receive the grand prize cash donation of $2,500.



Congratulations to the five runner up schools as well.  They each receive a prize cash donation of $1,000! The schools include:



2. Marquette High School - 1,977 lbs  ($1,000)
3. Ritenour High School - 1,443 lbs  ($1,000)
4. Grand Center Arts Academy - 1,427 lbs   ($1,000)
5. Our Lady of Guadalupe - 1,217 lbs ($1,000)
6. Francis Howell Middle School - 832 lbs   ($1,000)



McKinley School - 499 lbs
Lawson Elementary School - 475 lbs



Together, 10,075 pounds of food was collected! That will help the Foodbank provide 8,224 meals to those in need.
